     Is kitesurfing difficult to learn?

Kitesurf is actually easy to learn. Way easier than it looks. 95% of students are riding both sides within 15 hours of training, no matter if they are young, old, fit or not fit, female or male. Kitesurf is for everybody, no matter their background, age or physical condition. It is way easier than surfing or windsurfing.

     Is kitesurfing Safe?

Kiteboarding is safer than ever! Since the invention of the sport there has been a lot of attention paid to kite safety. The pioneers of the sport had their fair share of problems as they figured everything out. All kites nowadays come with safety systems as standard equipment. Kites safety systems that allow the rider to release the power, kite leashes and safety training have all contributed to make the sport as safe as possible. Also the local conditions make it even safer with its constant side-on shore winds. So when there is any undesired situation in the water, the wind will bring you back, if you don't get rescued by local kiters, in a few minutes.

Do I need any equipment to do the course?

All the kite gear is included on the course, including the safety. We recommend bringing rash guards for sun protection, hat and sun glasses.

When is the season in Cumbuco?

The early season starts in June and late season ends in February. From August to November is the high season, lots of wind and people from everywhere in the world come to enjoy this kiter's paradise.

     Local facilities?

Cumbuco is small but it has everything you need. Local and western restaurants, different shops, restaurants and lounges at the beach, pharmacies and clinics. Nearest hospital is within 15 km.

     How is the night life?

Cumbuco is not the place to go if you are looking for big parties. On Wednesday's there is live music and Saturday's parties at the bars near the beach. Sometimes there are parties in the pousadas or hotels, which are way better

Augusto ferreira

Augusto is from Brasilia, Brazil. Born in december 1992 and learning since them. Augusto ended up in the world of freediving also,  being able to reach 40m underwater with one breath hold. In 2016 he became a certified IKO(International Kiteboard Organization). From there he kept living by the beach sharing his passions.

After 8 years os teaching experience, in Brazil and other countries, this is the instructor that will make you learn in an easy, safe, progressive manner.

André puntel

This is André, from Brasília, Brazil. Born in july 1992.

For him everything started when he won a scholarship to China in 2014, that was when he had the opportunity to get in touch with other cultures for the first time alone just by himself, since that he felt that he wanted to get more involved with this kind of multi cultural environment.

His first time working with others nationalities were in a Cruise ship and his passion, language and communication skills just grew up. The experience was hard but in general he improved himself in a lot of good aspects, and also that job opened a lot of doors (opportunities). Its important to mention that this experience brought him closer to the ocean that was something that he really loved and always been connected since he was a little kid.

In 2016 Andre worked as a Victory Ceremony Supervisor at RIO2016 the Olympic Games, that was one of the nicest time of his life, to have the possibility to work providing the ceremonies for great names like MIchel Phelps, Rafael Nadal, Usain Bolt and talk face to face with them and many more top level athletes!

After RIO2016 his kite lifestyle started, Augusto, our other kite instructor, his childhood friend was already living in Cumbuco giving kite classes and invited Andre to try this amazing sport. He came to Cumbuco for 10 days to learn kite for the first time and he was able to kite in 10 hours course, after that he was in love with kiting, every single day since the time that the wind pick up until the time that he could not walk anymore haha...

He quitted his job in Brasilia to come definitely to live in Cumbuco and after many months inside this amazing ocean and perfect wind conditions he got more experienced with kiting and was able to start teaching.

Them created Kitebeleza together and already had more than 400 happy faces having classes, downwinding, and travelling with us.

He is glad today to work with what he loves, bringing safety, joy and amazing moments with the kite. Currently Andre is in Italy on the process to get his Italian citizenship.
